
To meet new legislation (BS6173 2001) affecting ventilation systems for gas-fired catering equipment, we now have a range of gas interlock control panels complete with air proving devices. The new regulations require commercial kitchens to provide adequate ventilation via extract and input fans to control harmful gases and fumes with the capability to shut off the gas supply if either fan fails.

It is a mandatory requirement to fit the gas interlock panel on all new installations or when fitting any Category B equipment, e.g. combination ovens, deep fat fryers, grills, charcoal griddles, etc. This includes replacements to an existing layout.
